Fun fact: As you age, you have fewer planes on the face, which translates to less dimension—fewer peaks and valleys that naturally sculpt and contour your face. That’s why, as a product developer, I’ve had a very specific highlighter in the works since the very start of Sarah Creal Beauty.

When I'm developing formulas, I'm always asking what problems I can solve for babes 40+.

I personally wanted a precise, custom way to bring back light and dimension in a formula that doesn’t require a makeup pro. If you’re over 40, you’ve likely been faced with the same challenges I have: highlighters that roll into your lines and wrinkles when you’re laughing or smiling (or furrowing or squinting). With a traditional highlighter, the pearls used for the luminizing effect tend to roll into these creases, and at the end of the day, or even an hour later, all of these pearls collect at the base of the line saying, “Here's my line!” I can confidently say that none of us want that. These were all considerations I had when creating our dream formula. Today’s Highlights does the thinking for you:

We used a proprietary Korean technology to ensure that the lightweight balm glides on smoothly and doesn’t settle into lines, wrinkles or pores for 12 hours—no stickiness, no glitter.

Essentially, the formula keeps the highlighting pearls exactly where you put them for 12 hours. And we supercharged the formula with hard-working skincare actives: Skinlastic Peptide Complex to smooth and nourish the skin, Snow Mushroom Extract to help skin elasticity, and Licorice Root Extract to help diminish the look of age spots. After all, the high points of your face—you know, where the sun naturally hits?—are also where damage shows up first. Through clinical tests and extensive feedback with our community, I know we have a winner. Today’s Highlights is now part of my daily routine. I wear it solo on weekends or layered with Just Like Paradise bronzer to create even more dimension. Applied with our Dual Contour Brush, I build all-over luminosity and a spotlight glow. For the tops of my cheek bones, I use the wide side of the brush. Then, to give myself a little lift of the brows, I apply Today’s Highlights with the small side of the brush just below and above my brows. Radiance, renewed!—Sarah
