We spoke to 2000 women and 99% of you agreed that age-specific formulas and representation is critical—and lacking—in beauty for women 40+. In answer, we customized our formulas for you, and decided to only photograph women 40+ because it’s the obvious and respectful thing to do (and fun! and they look amazing!) so you get a better idea of what a product will look like and how it will perform—on you. For Sarah, her epiphany came from her experience with a black, smudgy mascara (a one-time favorite) that no longer served her in her 50s. She had evolved. The mascara hadn’t. So, utilizing her 30+ years of product development expertise and customer intelligence, she designed a better one—a rich black tubing formula that delivers a lash-wrapping effect and visible volume that doesn’t smudge or disappoint.
