I’ve been a lip gloss freak for decades—it is my lip formula of choice! Developing NO FURTHER QUESTIONS took me 24(!) lab submissions and a week of working face to face with incredibly talented cosmetic chemists in Italy to get it exactly right. The goal? First, to create a formula that you would absolutely LOVE to apply all the time—boasting incredible glide, high shine, soft cushion, the best colors. But like an incredible sports car, what is under the hood, so to speak, is just as important as the shiny outside. To get there, I loaded our formula with two types of peptides to smooth the look of lines, infused it with an algae extract that pumps up hydration, and chose esters (which are moisturizers) that give an amazing bouncy slip with no tackiness. The key to a luxury gloss is to have the perfect balance of color, cushion, care, and adhesion—because no one wants a gloss that’s thin and travels into fine lines!
